that is how i would describe our progress with the house. when we moved in almost 2 years ago, we hit the ground running. stripping wallpaper, tearing down window treatments, cleaning, painting....and now, it strikes me that we have almost come to a grinding halt in our progress. i have done some updating with photos and simple things. but each day comes and goes with nothing really new happening with the overall plan for the house. i did spend a couple of hours organizing and purging in my studio on monday. that feels good. simple updates, but significant to me-
having spent that little bit of time straightening and organizing makes me want to get up there and DO something! funny how that works. i think the thing about the house and plans we have for it, is that you have to make a conscious effort to reach your goals. i can't just think about it and not have a plan to move forward. so i'm typing my thoughts out in an attempt to make myself accountable! the kitchen and living room are next. prioritizing helps too. when we go to my most favorite flea market of the year in a few weeks, i want to have a list of things to look for, so things for those rooms will be at the top of the list.
i had the opportunity to shoot some photos for friend miley yesterday. and since they are a baseball family, it seemed appropriate-
miley makes mothering 4 kids look easy. i hadn't seen this side of her before and i have to say i was impressed : ) good kids and cute too.
speaking of cute kids...little miss harper had her dedication on sunday. our friend and pastor dale did the dedication and it was very personal and special. i just wish there would have been more natural light in the sanctuary.
God bless your day!

and your studio is swoon worthy... so happy happy.
we're in the same place in our house... we've been here 3 years... it is nice to sort and reorganize according to how we really use it.. which we didn't know when we moved in.. but i'd love to have more loose ends ties up. ah well.
