no girls today. recently, i have taken a lot of photos of boys. even though i'm a lover of pink and all things girly, i have to say, i do love taking photos of boys. i have been particularly blessed to have such great looking big and little dudes to work with : ) there are so many images i want to share!
{don't forget to hit play on my playlist....i have some great tunes waiting!}
recap of our weekend:
i'm having a hard time even remembering what we did friday night! i know we grilled burgers and ate outside. that must have been about it. we got up saturday morning and went to an estate sale, and a few garage sales, and i picked up some GREAT stuff! i found 2 pieces of original art-a gorgeous floral canvas and a pastel print done by a local artist. i'm really diggin' local original art...even if it's pretty kitcshy. i plan to do a whole wall of art some day. i found a polaroid camera that is in awesome shape, complete with case and old fashioned bulbs, and it works! and a vintage chippy white painted table with an enamel top and a chippy white shelving unit....we spent a total of $40! can't wait to incorporate all the pieces into the house. i'm really hoping this is a productive week! we/tom has a lot of painting to do!
saturday night, we had cooking club at rob and chelsea's and i must say the food was amazing! i can say that because it was all chelsea's! we just helped! we had chicken adoboe, cucumber salad and mango/ginger frozen yogurt on pound cake. i am going out today and buying a frozen yogurt/ice cream maker. it was so simple and so yummy and healthy too. i am learning so much when we cook together-we have a talented, diversified group of cooks. i've learned such cool tips about not only actual cooking methods, but also about great products and gadgets...and even overcoming my avoidance of foods that i was unfamiliar with. i'm just so glad that we are doing it. can't believe it's been almost a year now!
yesterday, we went to church and came home and had lunch on the deck. i got to love on greyson a little more, and then they all went home for naps. tom and i went to work on some projects, him on the roof painting, me in my studio creating. last night, donna and jamie came over and we sat on the patio chatting and relaxing for a while....great way to end a lowkey weekend. i needed the weekend we had. i feel much more grounded this morning.
i was so excited when i got home from this shoot. i couldn't wait to look at the images. these 5 brothers are just the perfect mix of high energy and full of life, yet willing to listen and follow direction! a photographer's dream!
when i got to their house, i thought they looked familiar, and realized that they have a cabin at the lake that we used to live at! and they live next door to our friends. small world. and i just have to say, mary is the best boy mom! just the little bit of time i spent with them, it was obvious. very cool to see.
i have to add a couple of shots from the weekend of some of *my* boys. i only snapped a few, which is surprising, but i was too busy loving on grey!
and this boy is finally willing to sit for a second for a picture-
i think they're all pretty stinkin' cute : )
another monday. i AM going for a long walk today. and i started my day with oatmeal and my regime of vitamins. i'm trying to get back into some healthy choices and trying not to just fly by the seat of my pants. we'll see later today how strong i am. i hope you have a great day and God bless!

what a gorgeous bunch of boys, Becky! Fabulous photos as always!
The baby is so gorgeous, he looks so peaceful and content. Newborns just melt my heart!
Any updates on your Mom?
Have a great day!
